B.B. King and Mick Jagger To Perform at White House

B.B. King, Buddy Guy and Mick Jagger are headed to the White House for a performance celebrating the blues and Black History Month on February 21.

The performance, titled "In Performance at the White House: Red, White and Blues," will also include Buddy Guy, Gary Clark Jr., Trombone Shorty and Keb Mo, among others.

Jagger appears the odd man out on the bill, however he was hugely influenced by the blues and cites Howlin' Wolf and British guitarist Jeff Beck as some of his biggest influences.

The show is being directed by another big name in the Blues and R&B scene. Booker T. Jones. The show will be filmed and shown on PBS, February 27.

"The In Performance at the White House" series dates back to the Carter administration and the Obamas have used it to showcase a wide variety of music including performances by Bob Dylan, and Paul McCartney.
